Riversgold Advances Kalgoorlie Gold Project with Mining Lease Milestone

Riversgold Limited (ASX: RGL) has reached a major development milestone after securing the mining lease for its Northern Zone Gold Project near Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The approval marks an important step toward transitioning the project from exploration to development, strengthening the company's long-term growth strategy in one of Australia's most productive gold regions.

Mining Lease Unlocks Development Opportunities

The granted Mining Lease M25/389 provides Riversgold with long-term tenure over the Northern Zone deposit, offering the regulatory certainty required to move forward with mine planning and infrastructure development. The lease is valid for 21 years and satisfies a key condition under the company's agreement with MEGA Resources, which will fund mining operations under a profit-sharing arrangement.

With the lease in place, Riversgold can now progress environmental approvals, site preparation, and its Mine Development and Closure Plan (MDCP), bringing the project significantly closer to production.

Expanding Footprint Around the Northern Zone

Beyond securing the mining lease, Riversgold has strategically expanded its landholding around the Kalgoorlie Gold Project. The company has increased its tenement package by more than eight times, ensuring adequate space for future mining infrastructure, waste storage, haul roads, and potential processing facilities. This larger footprint also supports future resource expansion as additional drilling continues.

The expansion reflects management's confidence in the long-term potential of the Northern Zone deposit and positions the company for scalable mine development.

Strong Exploration Results Support Project Potential

Recent drilling campaigns have continued to deliver encouraging shallow gold intercepts across the Northern Zone. These results reinforce the project's geological potential and support plans for future resource growth. Riversgold has also secured additional funding to continue exploration while advancing toward production.

The combination of positive drilling outcomes, expanded tenure, and regulatory progress provides a solid foundation for the next stage of development.

Strategic Location in a World-Class Gold District

Located approximately 25 kilometres east of Kalgoorlie, the project benefits from its position within one of Australia's premier gold-producing regions. Existing mining infrastructure, transport networks, and processing facilities in the area could help reduce future development costs while improving operational efficiency.

Its proximity to established mining operations also enhances the project's commercial attractiveness as it moves toward production.

Looking Ahead

The mining lease approval represents a significant achievement for Riversgold as it continues to transform the Northern Zone Gold Project into a potential mining operation. With regulatory approvals progressing, an expanded project footprint, and ongoing exploration success, the company is well positioned to advance development in the coming months.

As gold demand remains resilient and investor interest in Australian gold projects continues, Riversgold's progress at Kalgoorlie highlights its commitment to unlocking long-term shareholder value through disciplined project development.
