Resolution Minerals Advances U.S. Critical Minerals Play with Idaho Mill Acquisition
Resolution Minerals Ltd has strengthened its U.S. rare metals strategy by officially acquiring the Johnson Creek Tungsten & Antimony Mill in Idaho — a strategic processing hub adjacent to the company’s Horse Heaven tungsten project. This acquisition gives Resolution direct control of critical processing infrastructure and substantial historical ore stockpiles, significantly lowering the barrier to production.
The deal includes around 2,000 tonnes of historic tungsten ore, key surface and underground infrastructure, water rights, power connections, workshops, storage facilities, and onsite accommodation, positioning the company to accelerate development timelines. With demand for tungsten and antimony rising due to supply chain sensitivities and global strategic mineral priorities, the mill provides a crucial platform for near-term resource extraction and processing.
Resolution plans to rapidly progress metallurgical studies, engineering assessments, and permitting, while exploring potential offtake partnerships and further drilling around Horse Heaven to expand resources ahead of production startup. The acquisition underscores Resolution’s commitment to securing domestic, Western sources of critical minerals.
